How to match pillows on the bed: tips for a perfect harmony of style.

Pillows are a fundamental element to make our bed cosy and inviting, but we often forget that they can also be a real design element, capable of giving a touch of style to the bedroom. Here are some tips for choosing and matching pillows optimally, for an aesthetically pleasing result in line with our personal taste.

Choose the right number of pillows First of all, it is important to determine how many pillows we want to put on our bed. Usually, two standard pillows (one at the feet and one at the sides) are enough to give comfort and support to the head and back, but if we like the "overdose" effect of pillows, we can opt for a larger number, up to a maximum of six or seven. The important thing is that the end result is balanced and does not make the bed too heavy.

Choose the right size. The size of the cushions is crucial to achieve a visually pleasing effect. Standard cushions have a size of 50x50 cm, but we can also opt for larger cushions, such as 65x65 cm or 70x50 cm, which give a very elegant and refined effect. If we want a more casual look, we can choose smaller cushions, such as 40x40 cm or 45x45 cm.

Choose the fabric that matches the style of the furniture. The fabric is another element to consider when choosing cushions. If we want a more classic and formal look, we can opt for satin or silk cushions, while for a more informal and casual look we can choose linen or cotton cushions. Synthetic fabric can also be a good choice for cushions that are durable and easy to maintain.

Choose colours that blend perfectly with the rest of the room. Cushion colours should be chosen according to the style of the bedroom and the effect we want to achieve. If the room is furnished in a classic or shabby chic style, we can opt for cushions in pastel shades or with floral prints.
